Turkish Fruits & Vegetables - Apple Melo

Apple Melo

Four servings. Cooking time: 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 red apples
  • 2 tablespoons of lightly diluted molasses
  • 2 dried figs
  • 2 dried apricots
  • 15 pieces raisin
  • 2 tablespoons of cream
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 50 g clotted cream

Preparation

1. Cut the apples in half. After removing the seeds, soak them in water with molasses without peeling them and make sure they are completely covered.

2. Cut dried figs and apricots into small pieces and cook with raisins, add cream to soften them.

3. Place the creamed dried fruits on top and inside the apples with molasses.

4. Bake it in a preheated 200-degree oven for about 20 minutes, until the apples are soft.

5. After removing it from the oven, divide the cream, and sprinkle ground cinnamon on them.
